Democracy in Senegal is under threat as President Sall postpones February 25th. elections
Protestors rallied in the streets of Dakar, Senegal carrying signs and waving flags in support of Democracy. The judiciary and Parliament have quarreled over presidential candidates. Two candidates from the Opposition have been removed from the ballot subsequently causing the protests.
When he postponed the elections, Sall cited a dispute between the judiciary and the lawmakers over the disqualitfication process and the objection over some candidate’s dual nationality.
