Recently, a bi-partisan Congressional hearing was convened to address child safety and the power of the internet.
As parents, loved ones, and survivors of the worst influences of today’s ever emerging social media and technology sat in attendance respectfully listening to the discussion, tech CEO’s of Meta, X, Tik Tok and Snap as well as Congressmen, when suddenly Lindsey Graham (r South Carolina) made a passionate statement declaring and demanding that big tech must not be permitted to continue to be exempt from tort claims for the damage done as a result of a lack of adequate safety standards and enforcement.
The same Lindsey Graham who voted to exempt the gun industry from any legal liability for the leading cause of death among children in the US, gun violence.
Please make a note of the hypocrisy.
