Is Donald Trump afraid to debate Kamala Harris?

SANTA MONICA – As the election season began to heat-up, smolder and burn really, President Biden and Donald J. Trump agreed to two separate debates. The debate were planned to take place in June and September. We all know how horrible the first debate was. President Biden seemed lost at times as he stumbled to find the words to express his thoughts. Trump, on the other hand, told bold-face lies again and again. The Associated Press reports that Trump lied at least 30 times during the debate.

We now find ourselves in a different political reality. Biden decided to end his campaign for a second term and now supports Vice President Kamala Harris for President. The contest will almost certainly be between Harris and Trump.

Donald Trump seems to be fuming about this latest development. Before Biden was even nominated by the DNC as the official candidate, Trump and the GOP allegedly threatened to sue if Biden dropped out of the race, reported ABC News.

With at least one more debate on the schedule before the November election, Harris said that she is willing to debate Trump anytime and anywhere. “Bring it on,” the once and former City Attorney of San Francisco said.

Trump, however, is demurring and trying to delay a debate with Harris, if not cancel it. Biden and Trump both agreed that ABC would host and broadcast the 2nd debate, but Trump now says that Fox News should host and broadcast the debate which was originally schedule for September 10, 2024.

Yesterday, Stephen Cheung, Trump’s Press Secretary, said that his boss would not agree to a debate with Harris until the Democrats officially choose their candidate. Earlier today, former President Barack Obama announced his support for Harris as the next President. On August 7th, the DNC will hold a virtual roll-call to pick their candidate. It is expected that Harris will be that candidate.

On that day, Trump will be out of excuses.
