SANTA MONICA – The people are upset. Not only in Arkansas or Alaska, but in every small town across the country.
The people are angry. They argue President Donald J. Trump is undermining American Democracy, destroying the economy, denying education, and endangering the health of every citizen in the country.
Mobilize, a technology company that enables people to arrange rallies, set-up virtual meetings, and connect with like-minded people, designated April 5th, as a national day of Protest.
The protest, HANDSOFF, will take place in all fifty states. According to The Hill, nearly 400,000 people have registered to participate in a protest or rally tomorrow.
The protests are not limited to the United States. There will be rallies in Europe as well. People in London, Brussels, France, Germany, and Amsterdam will join their American friends to fight against the rise in Right Wing Populism that many believe is giving rise to oligarchically-bent dictators like Vladimir Putin of Russia, Viktor Orban of Hungary, and Javier Milei of Argentina.
But Americans don’t seem like they are gonna take it! Even this past week, students at Columbia University in New York protested against the arguably illegal imprisonment of Mahmoud Khalil. The Trump administration accused Khalil of engaging in terrorists activity after the then student Khalil exercised his right to free speech.
Recently, the Trump administration and Elon Musk, who heads the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), have embarked on a slash and burn technique. Many government agencies and programs that protect Americans have been cut.
NPR reported that cuts have been made at the Department of Education, Health and Human Services, The Food and Drug Administration, and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
The biggest outcry, though, came when Trump imposed tariffs on almost every country. Stock markets across the globe reactived negatively. The U.S. Markets lost an estimated $2 TRILLION in the past week.
The people are disgusted, angry, and ready to stand-up for the rights. Tomorrow, our live coverage will begin at 6:00 am PDT / 9:00 am EDT.
