Trump said, “I Will Be Your Retribution” during his third presidential campaign
SANTA MONICA and Bethesda, MD – In the early morning hours of August 22, 2025, FBI Officers rolled along a quiet suburban neighborhood in Bethesda, Maryland. They were there to ostensibly search and seize documents. They had a warrant.
In what is becoming all-too-familiar in today’s political climate, the FBI Officers were there to serve a warrant against someone who is critical of U.S. President Donald J. Trump.
John Bolton worked as the National Security Advisor during President Trump’s first term – before the January 6th Capital Riot and Insurrection. From the very beginning of Bolton’s tenure in the White House, the president and Bolton clashed over geopolitics.
Bolton believed that Russia interfered with the 2016 elections, that Russian President Putin needed to be contained, and that North Korea’s leader – Kim Jong Un – was trying to actively become a nuclear power.
Trump repeatedly said he didn’t like Bolton’s mustache.

After Trump fired Bolton, Bolton published a best-selling book that was critical of President Trump, the man, and his Administration. The BBC lists these 10 claims that Bolton made in his book:
- Trump wanted help from China to win re-election
- …and said building internment camps was the ‘right thing to do’
- In fact, Trump created a migrant detention facility in the Florida Everglades dubiously called, Alligator Alcatraz. A judge recently ordered the facility closed
- Trump offered ‘personal favors to dictators’
- According to the book, Trump offered help to Turkish President Erdogan in 2018 over violations of Iranian sanctions
- In fact, the Trump administration received a $600 billion investment pledge from the Saudi Arabian government to invest in the U.S.
- The Trump family is currently developing a new Trump Tower in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia
- The Democrats should have gone further with impeachment efforts
- Trump suggested he wanted to serve more than two terms
- In fact, Trump said during his third presidential campaign that he may may serve ‘three or four times’
- In fact, Vladimir Putin has been the ruler of Russia since December 31, 1999 – IS Trump patterning himself after Putin?
- In fact, Trump said, ‘I’m not sure I have to’ uphold the Constitution
- Trump didn’t know the UK was a nuclear power…
- In fact, ahead of his most recent trip to Alaska to meet President Putin, Trump said, ‘I’m going to Russia’ to meet Putin
- …or if Finland was part of Russia
- Again, not surprising as Trump once congratulated the Kansas City Chiefs for winning the Super Bowl. Trump said, the Chiefs ‘represented the great state of Kansas well.’ Oops – The Chiefs are from Missouri not Kansas.
- He was very close to actually quitting NATO
- In fact, Trump continually casts doubt on willingness o defend NATO allies ‘if hey don’t pay’
- Invading Venezuela would be ‘cool’
- In fact, Trump recently boasted that he wanted to buy Greenland and annex Canada while wondering aloud ‘how much to attack or invade Mexico’
- Even allies ridiculed him
- In fact, Trudeau criticized Trump, JD Vance criticized Trump, Marco Rubio criticized Trump and Angela Merkel recently said that Trump diverts attention while seeking to make himself the center of attention
