SANTA MONICA, Calif. – Voters in India elected Narendra Modi for a consecutive third term as Prime Minister. Modi’s party, the Bharatiya Janata Party failed to gather enough votes on their own to win. The AP reports that the BJP needed the support of “regional allies” to remain in control.
Modi’s government has come under scrutiny in the US after the Biden administration questioned connections between the shooting death of an Indian expatriate living in Canada and an Indian expat living in the United States.

The US Consulate in Sydney, Australia was vandalized early Monday morning. Video shows a masked person smashing windows and painting Pro-Palestinian graffiti on the building around 3:00 am.
